The intention of my communication.

My practice is rooted in self-reflection and is a process of creating graphic and abstract work that invites open interpretation. This year my work started as an exploration of human communication through language. I visually and conceptually considered the Microsoft Word spelling error lines and tied in reflections on my own personal experiences with communicating in multiple languages. By looking at words and error symbols visually, they can be seen outside of the construct of language and my work is now leaning towards a playful exploration of defacement and the implications of error symbols.
